Halloween madness

hey all with Halloween so close things are going to be a little hectic for me considering i make most of the ones my friends wear and i get paid for it. so as soon a Halloween is over I'll be able to post some more for now I'll just be posting little parts of them and after I'll be able to give more instructions on how to build things and more reviews on some of the video games I own.
have a spirited Halloween

Costumes: the great knife

how to build the great knife as seen in silent hill 2 and be able to swing it
things you will need
a blade (x-acto knife works best)
a wooden dowel about 1in across and about 4ft long
sliver and black spray paint
brown paint (not spray)
a glue gun (and a ton of glue)
something to mark with (i find chalk works well
a metric fuck-ton of Corrugated cardboard (this is the kind with the little ridges on the inside)
a lot of patience
some burn salve

cut the cardboard into the shape of the blade it should be about 4ft long and about 6-8in wide
put it on top of the remaining cardboard and trace around it to get the other side of the blade
shift the two pieces you have so far so that the ridge in them and the ridge on the cardboard under it go different ways and make a cross or X
cut it out and glue the two together(only the ones that make the Xs together and make sure they are on opposite sides)
put your dowel in between them where you want it and glue it in place it will make a triangle shape like so <1
place the knife on the cardboard dowel side down and trace it again cut that strip out and glue it so that the two blade sides meet with the strip you just cut in the middle /\
--
now do the other side and tilt the blade as you trace so you get the size for where the blade widens above the point
flatten this part before you glue it on so it will curve with the blade
spray paint the blade sliver then get the edge with the point with the black spray paint
grab a brush and paint the dowel if you get any sliver or black on it
and it should look like this:

have fun with your new weapon

Games: my first teen game

my first teen rated video game was "war of the monsters" for the ps2 it was and still is a great game the plot goes something like this a bunch of monsters have been awakened or created by the fuel from some alien invaders so you have a bunch of 100ft tall monsters running around trying to kill each other.
shame there are only ten monsters you can choose from but they are all thought out and completely different from a dragon to the Jersey devil to one of the alien invaders and they all have four costume but one which you can unlock if you have a save file of twisted metal: black on the same memory card which pissed me off because i don't have that game and my driving skills are so poor i didn't want to spend money getting it.
almost all of the terrain is at least partly destroyable and you can pick up just about anything that will fit in your hand...er claw or whatever they happen to have on the ends of their arms from cars to boats to alien ships you can grab it and use it to hurt whoever you're fighting be it a giant ape or a living tiki idol. the maps themselves are also quite something you can fight in Tokyo or in a volcano it's all up to you.
onto the not so great parts the graphics are only "okay" by today's standards but are still very good for when i bought it. the audio can and most likely will get old after about ten minutes in but you can turn it off or just ignore it. all in all i give this game an 8/10
hope you have fun should you get it
